Pro-Tex Workwear – Workwear with care, craftsmanship and an eye to the future.

Pro-Tex Workwear is a family business with over 30 years of experience in workwear and technical textiles. What started in August 1995 as a small-scale initiative by founder Marcel van Laar, has now grown into a trusted and specialized partner for companies throughout the Netherlands.

With a strong background in the textile industry and an education in technical textiles, Marcel discovered a growing demand for comfortable, durable and safe workwear during his work as a sales representative. This insight led to the creation of Pro-Tex Workwear, with the mission: to provide employees with the right clothing to do their work safely, professionally and with confidence.

What started with a regional focus, quickly grew into a national coverage. Due to this development, Pro-Tex Workwear moved from a small office in the city center of Weesp to a modern building on the industrial estate, where we can serve our customers even better.

Over the years, Pro-Tex Workwear grew into a close-knit family business. Marcel's partner, Conchita van Laar – his wife of 27 years now – joined the administration, and together they further expanded the company. Since 2023, son Manolo van Laar has also been active in the company. With his arrival, the next generation is assured, and with it the future of Pro-Tex Workwear.
